Toxic dumping in the cities and pesticide poisoning of the farmlands are the inevitable results of rampant industrialization. Kuala Lumpur’s high-rise apartment buildings and luxury hotels can’t disguise the fact that Malaysia is still a developing nation plagued by poverty and inequality.
